Last year I decided to take my work to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, better known as The Fringe! It is the largest arts festival in the world, with 23,000 performers from 43 countries taking part in 45,000 performances every August in Edinburgh Scotland.
Performing at The Fringe was something I have always wanted to do. We performed for one week at the festival and funded the tour almost entirely on our own, with some help from family and friends.
This year we know how it works and we want to improve on what we did last summer. That means a new show, a better time slot, twice as many performances, a more aggressive approach to marketing and getting more people in those seats. And we know that’s attainable based on the incredibly enthusiastic response to our show last year which included a 4-star review.
Returning to The Fringe this summer also means getting the help we need to make this happen. And that means you.
We’ve launched an IndieGoGo campaign – it’s a way you can contribute to your tour and also receive some terrific incentives in return for your help.
